Uncyclopedia is a Wiki that is similar to Encyclopedia Dramatica, except that it is not as offensive.

Like ED, I haven’t had any personal experience as a participant of the place – but I wouldn’t want to here either. They are Autistic Enemies for one reason, and one reason only;

Their article on Asperger’s Syndrome.

It’s not as bad as the article on ED, but it’s intolerance level is still too high certainly for my liking. Again, it’s the sort of thing that hinders the understanding of AS.

I don’t know if this website was created before or after ED. Either way, this site is also a creation of those who wish to mock Wikipedia. Whilst it isn’t necessarily offensive like ED, it is nevertheless rude and obnoxious. There is an attempt to be witty and so forth – for example there is a very funny article called “Asparagus Syndrome”. I thought it was a play on Asperger’s and I feared the worst, but it is in actual fact quite responsible just for a change!

Nevertheless, the mere presence of the Asperger’s article is enough to set my teeth on edge about intolerance. There is a difference between fun and rude. And this is mostly just plain rude.

Uncyclopedia is an enemy of Autistics.
