Here’s the first of two for tonight.

Children who are level 3 can access early intervention well beyond 4! The waiting list situation in the UK is not good and it needs to be fixed PDQ.

Now this one she’s right. Self diagnosis is not on. And yes it’s not hard to get a referral. But getting it done right now is another matter – certainly in the UK and the US. Even in Australia it’s an issue but it’s improving slowly.

That’s neurodiversity, nitwit! Learn about it!

And in the UK it would get them absolutely nowhere for the reason Dmdav gave!

The OP is wrong – that was the late Dan Olmsted’s BS. The one who doesn’t give an eff is YOU, dummy! Autism is life changing no matter where on the Spectrum you are – especially if you aren’t diagnosed until later in life!

There is NO elective Autism except those who are self DXed and they would NOT be in those figures for that reason!

The change in criteria that caused the numbers to go up was in 1994! Fact! And the reason why level 3 went up was because before 1994 it wasn’t recognised any more than level 1 was!

BULL! It absolutely requires evidence of lifelong traits! It is NOT easy to fake at all because the right tests will flush the fakes out easy as anything! True professionals will do that, and no amount of coaching will overcome it!
Lots more to come!
