Behavioural tests per the DSM-5 verifies the disability, you moron! Heart rates are irrelevant to invisible disabilities. I’ll bet you would miss a deaf person if you didn’t talk to them! That’s the level of ignorance this comment is at!

And you are drawing the line in the wrong spot and ignoring struggles Level 1’s can have! Sure, they aren’t as bad as Level 3’s or even Level 2’s but we still have them. You are an ableist because you are narrowing the definition of disability totally outside the law!

Yes they can because they have the physical experience even if it is temporary in the case of a wheelchair! The ignorance continues unabated!

If you’re doing that without professional help then you are doing more harm than good. Get professional help 24/7 and get the right people who can help him up the spectrum from Level 3. He’s young enough. It can be done and has been done.

This is the second one for this evening.

All Autism is!

Wrong on all counts! Etana was always Autistic and didn’t know it and neither did her parents because they didn’t know what the core symptoms were! The lack of backtracking suggest they weren’t paying attention. The diagnostic criteria is not faulty. The thinking going on here is faulty.

Here’s the first of two for this evening – but first a quick update on something I said on entry 7. I said there were claims of an addition to the DSM-III in 1980. I found a copy of both the DSM-III and it’s 1987 revision. Autism is there in the original, but it is limited to “infantile autism” and requires a diagnosis within 30 months (two and a half years). That is severely limited. The more general “Autistic disorder” was not introduced until 1987 which is what I thought. Anyway – we move on;

This is the second of two this morning.

There isn’t one for Autism full stop, microbe! All that testing (the link is very vague and is ongoing) is not going to come up with a single answer, because the concentration on a specific gene is wrong. That is not the answer. The answer is in the behaviours.

The diagnostic criteria wasn’t there before 1994 you idiot! Even your son would have been missed because the Kanner addition was for Level 2! (There are claims it was in the DSM-III but last I checked it was in the 1987 revision and not the 1980 original)

Doctors can’t refute because they know they aren’t qualified. Any psychiatrist or psychologist on the other hand will refute it, especially if they are experts in the field of Autism! Asking a geneticist is useless!

There will be no genetic test. The real test is behavioural. Like it or not, witch!
